My story

I didn’t come to cold plunging as an athlete or a biohacker. I came to it as someone who was burned out, sleeping terribly, and desperately looking for something — anything — that would make me feel human again.

“The first time I stepped into an ice bath, I lasted 47 seconds. I was convinced it was the worst idea I’d ever had. Three years later, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.”

After struggling with chronic stress, low energy, and persistent muscle soreness from years of recreational running, a friend suggested I try cold water therapy. I was skeptical — it sounded like something only extreme athletes or Scandinavians did. But after just two weeks of consistent cold plunging, the changes were undeniable: deeper sleep, sharper focus, a mood that stayed steady even on hard days.

That curiosity turned into obsession. I dove into the research — the science of thermogenesis, cold shock proteins, norepinephrine release, vagal tone. I tested protocols on myself. I talked to coaches, physiotherapists, and fellow plungers. And eventually I realized: there wasn’t one clear, trustworthy place on the internet that brought all of this together for everyday people.

So I built one.
